APPLETON - The Patriots led by 24 points at halftime as they cruised to the season-opening victory.

Ella Sweeney scored 20 points and Torie Neubauer had 17 to lead Appleton East. They each made four 3-pointers. The Patriots made 13 3-pointers.

Neubauer scored 12 points in the first half and Sweeney had 12 in the second half.

Lilly Meulemans added 11 points for Appleton East.

The Golden Raiders were led by Bri Tagel with nine points.

NEENAH - The Rockets flew past the Warriors, jumping out to a 37-point halftime lead as Allie Ziebell went over 2,000 points for her career in the season-opening win.

Ziebell, who came into the game having scored 1,995 points, finished with 24.

Rowan Klesmit and Ellie Buss added 14 and 11 points, respectively, for Neenah.

Neenah will play its next game at Marshfield on Tuesday.
